ApeRunner is a virtual treasure hunt. Donors visit a site showing a map of a real-world
location and can place donations of varying values around the map. On a fixed date, a small
number of runners have three hours to try to get to as many of those locations as possible,
using the GPS on their phones. When one of them gets within 20m of a donation, it is considered
"collected". After the event, the donors are asked to donate the amount that has been collected.
Donors can see the locations of the runners as they make their way around the map, and can
continue to place donations as they run.

We believe charities and non-profits should have free access to new technology-based methods of
fundraising.
We’ve chosen to develop location aware, social media web applications for individual and
corporate donors who want to collect for or contribute to good causes. If you'd like to
arrange an Ape Run for your charity, contact us at aperun apeworks.com.

The ApeRunner team is composed of four people heavily distracted with real jobs looking
to do something useful with their rare moments of free time. Behold their loveliness here.
